To get the best possible deal you should plan to make an independent exploratory visit, perhaps not buying anything at all. Make a tour of the area to get to know the geography, the views and local facilities. Talk to people, especially other foreigners who have already bought property.

Trekking around the local estate agencies is a daunting task, especially since the number of agencies operating in the Bodrum region has risen from 5 to 250 during the last 5 years. With most properties being offered by multiple agencies duplicated property sheets makes the task even more difficult.

In Turkey the final deal is made at the office of the public notary. There are several notary offices in Bodrum, we recommend only those that make the whole buying process as easy as possible.
